The branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran sentenced “Ghorban Behzadian Nezahd”, head of the “Mousavi’s green campaign”, to five years imprisonment and a fine of $100 for libel against Iranian President “Mahmood Ahmadi Nejad”.
“Dr. Behzadian Nezhad”, a university professor, received his sentence last Tuesday on August 24th, 2010.
Earlier this year, “Behzadian Nezhad” had been suspended from his academic position without pay based on an order by Iranian authorities.
Many university professors and other academics have protested against the unfair process and measures taken against their colleague.
